Thank you, Katie! I've missed reading frequent IDD posts and discovered that some of the other online places I go to for encouragement are posting more lightly during the summer, thinking that everyone is extra busy. I'm not... and somehow the void of not having local friendships just seems more apparant.

My favorite verse is Is. 26:3-4 -- You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because He trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah the Lord is everlasting strength.

Much more recently, Isaiah 40 has greatly encouraged me.
... He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, And carry them in His bosom...Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, Measured heaven with a span And calculated the dust of the earth in a measure? Weighed the mountains in scales And the hills in a balance? Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, Or as His counselor has taught Him? With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him...
How can one question the dealings of such a God? Yet I am far too often too ready to question the loneliness I face. He knows. He cares. Yet He chose to plan my life just so. Great monuments to His magnificence point me to trust His power. The agony of the cross directs me to trust His love.

No, it's when you go to sleep in a twin bed by yourself & wake up to find anywhere from 1-3 kids in your bed with you! lol

You eat last--After you've served all the child who really shouldn't serve themselves & sometimes even after you've served those that can serve themselves.

You find stains on your clothing that you have no idea where they've come from--that is until the current two year old wipes his face on you. lol

You go into a store looking for clothes for yourself and end up leaving with clothes for your younger siblings & nothing or very little for you.

You pick your purses and/or book bags not by how they look, but by how they can clean up & how much they can hold with out being to big.

And yes, I have more. lol

I'm glad you're hosting a 90-day challenge. I took it once and have made it a more regular part of my Bible reading plan since then. You must be a fast reader or else I'm a slow one! I usually have to spend an hour a day... I would consider joining you, but I'm moving into the last leg of my personal 120-day plan and don't want to suspend that. I hope you get a good group together.

Wow, thanks for that little poem. It's appropriate today as a sweet friend of mine was killed in a car wreck this morning. Reminds me that you just never know... so we DO need to think about what kind of legacy we are living.

Nice post Jak! I don't put my "To Do List" in my phone but writing a list is the best way for me to remember things and I know the super annoyed feeling of NOT getting things done. My biggest attitude hurtle is doing the house hold chores on a continual basis when I'm the ONLY one doing them! I want to improve my attitude and I'm going to remember this verse!

Very good article! I have really been struggling lately with knowing what to do when I graduate this spring-- Full-time writing? Working in a children's ministry? Having a sewing business? Getting married? There are so many options! But the Lord has been teaching me to wait and trust Him and do His will each day as He leads me. I am looking forward to the upcoming articles on the virtuous woman. :-)
